Syima! This is an exaggerated version of my reaction to that clip.
Don't know about the 2 girls, 1 cup clip? I am not going to put the outrageous clip on my NC-13 blog, but here it is from Syima's. Please follow the instructions lest you really get pimples on your backside.
Now we know why our neighbour sends in Jaclyn Victor for Asian Idol.
It just so happened that he sang one of my favourite songs of all time for the finals, and it is also a song I love to sing in KTV, which makes me even more familiar with it, so I am going a pseudo judge and comment on his singing!
Bad song arrangement aside, I think his singing is too emotionally exaggerated, in other words, very chinese boyband. To be fair I watched the performances of his competitor Nita too (thought she has zero appeal) and overall, I realise the 2nd season pales in comparison with the first. It made Hady and Jonathan sound like Il Divo! (One of my current favourite songs is their song, Regresa A Mi)
And in another attempt to be fair, I also watched Vick (third in place for Season I, Chinese guy) perform the same song (our neighbours love Belaian Jiwa don't they? Actually I love it too.) and I thought Vick fared better than him!
All in all, I'm trying to say that I am better than the Winner of Msian Idol Season II.
And I was thinking, since he is so cheena, he could win Asian Jue Dui Superstar, if there is going to be one in future. Then I realise that is probably not going to happen, given the overwhelming support of pretty faces like Daren Tan by tens of thousands of xiaomeimeis here in Singapore. Don't even forget the power of aunties who will be rooting for busker-turned-superstar CWL.
