Mr Zhou's concert

Thanks Mediacorpse for the hot seats.

The seats were so hot they made me reach boiling point.

I was so flustered they gave me such lousy tickets that I went out of the balcony seats and stomped to the front of the stage and snapped the 2.5 hours away. Security, huh what security? They didn't even stop me.

I was so happy he threw the shuang jie gun towards my direction so I went to grab it. And then this another guy went to kop it from me so I whacked his head off, took it and ran away for my dear life.

Security people went after me, but being short has its pros, isn't it? I managed to hide behind some tall Mr. Zhou's fans so I brushed them off in record time. Later on, they found me and even recognised me (I mean apart from my height, my skin color was pretty distinctive too admist the yellow skin crowds), so they snatched it back.

Ah a big digress, I spotted a minah tudung in the midst of Mr. Zhou's fans. Earlier on, there were even Thai/Burmese/Filipino Mr. Zhou's fans queueing up behind us. Tsk, the things fanatics do for their idol...

Anyway, story of shuang jie gun was true except it wasn't me who was involved in the tussle. According to Mr. Huang who witnessed the whole episode of struggle, there was a tug-of-war for the shuang jie gun until eventually the security people came down and snatched it back from them.

This was the closest pic ever. He came downstage and everyone rushed to the front.

I think this was the best picture taken.

The piano damn chio, his suit also damn nice. My favourite pic of the concert.

This is probably the picture which showcased his talent best.

He was playing the gu zhen to the tunes of Fa Ru Xue, before he started singing it. Apart from the piano and gu zhen, he also played the drums later on. Jay of all trades, he is.

And his costume is damn bling bling!

The bling bling jacket in the first pic was a tad too ugly, but according to Ms Wong, he was singing my favourite song, Cai Hong, in that attire. I was too busy snapping away (and singing) I couldn't be bothered to see what he was wearing.

The second pic is up because he's wearing a damn wig. And the pinned-up fringe doesn't look nice, according to Ms Wong.

Pardon the act chio pics of Ms Wong.

She doesn't know that she looks like a zebra with bound feet in that outfit.

The cap that I asked Ms Wong help me buy costs S$15, a limited edition for his World Tour 2008 and a good memento for me from his concert since I was never a support-stars-by-going-to-their-concerts kinda person.

This was my first.

I gotta admit it was a pretty memorable concert for me because it was Mr. Zhou's bday on the same day and NQMM led us in the bday song singing. The bday song was sung in English and Mandarin, and they wanted to continue singing in Malay. But I guess no one knew how to except me and the minah tudung. I nearly wanted to run upstage to lead in the singing, but I didn't for fear that I might steal the limelight from him.

After the bday song, one of the NQMM guys came out in a dress and forced a kiss on him in an impromptu bday sabo.

Mr. Zhou was also having a flu during the concert, and I was thinking about the possibility of him collapsing during the performances, but Mr. Toh said I think too much already. He zaoxia-ed in one instance prolly because of his flu which was forgivable since he was already trying his best.

Mr Zhou also changed some of the song lyrics during his performances, and I was told by the veteran Mr. Zhou's concert go-er Mr. Huang that he always does that in his concerts to give the songs different meanings. I am not convinced though haha I really think he forgot the lyrics. According to Mr. Toh, he did admit before that he sucked at remembering lyrics.

All in all, I consider myself fortunate to be one of the winners for the Mediacorpse contest because it's a competition between me and the rest of Mr. Zhou's more avid fans in the whole of Singapore. And I won it because winners strategize.

It is definitely an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend such a glorious event. I'm really glad that I was part of the 9,000 crowd to listen to him sing live on his special day. *laughs at those who went on the second day*

Just for the record, I where got so zai can go past security and stomp to the front? I remained wherever I was (which is at the backest row ever) and sang his songs softly while recording videos stealthily because the anal ushers were watching our every move, yes even those in the balcony.

Not going to post up any videos here, because I realised I sang too loud and that totally butchered the songs.

And yes, pictures are courtesy of Ms Wong. Everyone thank Ms Wong for her generosity!
