I visited the Padang the day the Youth Olympic Committee announced the results from Switzerland. It was an overwhelming sight. I have never seen SO MANY ENTHUSIASTIC UNIFORMED MINORS before in my entire life. Some were carrying banners and shouting their voices hoarse, others left their bags on the roads in the middle of nowhere and jumped around like our friends from the zoo and the craziest ones came in greek costumes.

The moment to remember was the time when the old fogey announced the results. The jubilant crowd of minors became even wilder.

The sea of red plus the singing of "Stand up for Singapore" right after the results were announced made me feel like it was 9th August.



Even Angmohs were cheering!!!

Anyways, I am positive that the Singapore team was confident enough to win, else they won't organise such a big countdown celebration to the results. And invite PM summore. Or perhaps they knew the results before the rest of us, I dunno.

In any case, having the YOG here will be good since there'll be an influx of hot sportsbabes from all around the world (albeit minors). Summore 2010 is the year I graduate *cough cough* so it's time to enjoy!!!

And then find a wife. An angmoh wife would be nice!
