Wedding talk

I followed my parents to my dad's cousin's son's (what does that make him? My double cousin) wedding today. My parents won't be able to make it tomorrow so we went today instead. The food was pretty good for a pre-wedding night although the prawns weren't as large as those at the wedding I went a few weeks back.

Strangely, when I was younger, I hated tagging my parents to weddings because it'd be the same ol' boring shit every single time - eat, chat and ciao. But somehow recently I have developed this growing liking for these kinda occasions, and my mom has since asked me to accompany her.

The first thing anyone who saw me today did was ask my parents: "Who is this? -inserts Big Bro's name-?" And after I was formally introduced, the second thing was "Oh my he resembles -insert's dad's name/nickname- alot!" I think this was the first time I actually met my father's cousins and their kids (and also remember their names and faces) so I was also having so many questions in my head asking me who's this lady who's that man who's that kid yadda yadda yadda. Quite interesting if you ask me.

The worst part of today came in the form of boring adult convos. My dad was talking to his aunt while my mom was chatting with my dad's cousin's wife. And I was in between, doing nothing but eat, eat and eat. And listen to boring adult convos. It gives me goosebumps now though thinking about how I will also end up being a boring adult chatting boring convos 20 years down the road. Damn.
