Project 365

My birthday present all the way from Taiwan.

Description: Flu. Fever. Cough. Running nose. Face mask.

What happened before this pic was taken: Was talking to Raymond abt my flu. He asked me to put on face mask. I showed him this picture.

What happened after this pic was taken: I put the mask together with the things I'm going to bring to Taiwan next week. NEXT WEEK? Yes, it's next week. I hope I recover from my flu.

Post note: I will be super upset if I can't make it for the Taiwan trip due to H1N1. I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow.

Project 365

"Top of the world".

Description: The view on top of the Singapore Flyer was magnificent, but definitely not worth SGD$29.90. Even the whole ride, which lasted for less than half an hour, was not worth the price of the ticket. The best thing about the ride is that student privileges allow me to pay ONLY SGD$10 when others pay 3 times as much. And we went on a Monday morning we had an empty 'cubicle' all to ourselves!

What happened before the pic was taken: We were walking from CityHall MRT to Flyer in the hot blistering Sun. Blurred vision on my right eye did not stop me from trying to look good by putting on contact lenses.

What happened after the pic was taken
: We walked around the Yakult Rainforest exhibition and browsed through the souvenir shop. And then we started walking to Raffles Place in the sweltering heat and I finally threw the contact lenses away at the Esplanade. We had Indo food for lunch and PitStop Cafe right after.

Post note: JJW needs to be spanked. Initially we were supposed to submit only 6 selections. Knowing that he would release the address of the balloting site today, being a typically kiasu Singaporean student, I got Murni to help me ballot as fast as possible. It turns out that now we have 15 selections. Can't he be any clearer before he launches the balloting website?

Project 365

Sunset, taken from the top of a flyover.

Cars on the TPE.

Description
: I don't know which one is nice, so I decided to put both. I took these pics while jogging from Tampines to Pasir Ris. It was a nice sight to behold atop this flyover. Even a Bangladeshi worker stopped his bike to admire the beautiful scenery, albeit one that is a concrete jungle.

What happened before this pic was taken: I was jogging along Tampines Connector when a fatso overtook me.

What happened after this pic was taken: I ran all the way back to Drive 1 in the hope of buying contact lenses for tomorrow, but the shop was closed for the day.

Post note: My sec sch friend got married today. It would have been nice if I could snap a foto or two from the wedding reception... but I forgot. All the best to Farah and her hubby!

Project 365

My desk.

Description: I was intially supposed to go out but I bailed because I wanted to catch the 2nd last episode of Manja Lara. Anyway, I was bored so I decided to clear my desk. You can see the before and after pics.

(See window) I started in the day and finished only at night. Now this is what I call... procrastination.

What happened before this pic was taken: My Dad came into the room asking for something and made a remark that my bedroom looked like a kandang babi (pig sty). Basket! I don't rear pigs hor!

What happened after this pic was taken: Well, I went to watch Manja Lara and then continued with my mini spring cleaning of the other side of the room.

Post note: I can't stand certain people who had criticized MJ so much (about his unproven paedophilic tendencies and his crazy desire to look like E. Taylor) when he was very much alive and when they suddenly caught wind of the news of his passing, they switched sides and claimed to be his truest bluest fans. Come on! Drop the pretence.

Barn Buddy!

Description
: I can't be bothered already okay, pseudo photo or not, I am still posting something happening on that particular day. So the objectives of this project are still fulfilled. Anyway, I was trying to steal crops from this particular person and realized his crops were ALL gone. I feel sad for him.

Moral of the story: Get a pet dog. Feed it regularly.

What happened before this pic was taken: I was stealing other friends' crops. I know, I know. Each time I steal harvests, God sees. I know.

What happened after this pic was taken: I chatted with Maggie on MSN with our webcams on and her brother flexed his muscles on cam. Literally. Whatever for? I don't know.

Post note: Yay! Resort and railway settled.

Project 365

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Description: Another pseudo photo because the one I took was blur and I didn't wanna post two blur photos back to back. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was good! The Decepticon I particularly like was the Demolishor (the one with the giant wheel destroying Shanghai infrastructure at the start) while the Autobot which I am particularly fond of has gotta be Bumblebee. I did the Which Transformer Are You? Quiz and got "BumbleBee"! Bee was so cute when he teared.

What happened before the pic was taken
: I had Pastamania with Sugar Mummy. Love seafood pastas with tons of cheese.

What happened after the pic was taken: We went to the rooftop of the carpark beside E-hub and ...

Post note: Next week minors are back in school. I want to go Wild Wild Wet!

E-hub at night.

Description: Was jogging along Drive 3 when E-hub came into view. Decided to snap a photo from my W902 but I was not stationary, hence the blurry pic.

What happened before this pic was taken: I was watching Glittering Days, a HK serial drama on Channel 8.

What happened after this pic was taken: I jogged home, cooled myself down and watched The Ultimatum.

Post note: I can feel my body getting fitter than previous week.

My HappyFarm!

Description: I didn't take any pics the whole day, so gotta make do with pseudo "print-screen" picture! I love my HappyFarm. I'm now at Level 12, and there are still many plots of land I gotta buy. My favourite fruits so far are: Strawberry and Pumpkin. So big and fat!

What happened before this pic was taken: I was asleep. I wake up at 9 am daily just so that my harvests don't get stolen.

What happened after this pic was taken: I steal other HappyFarmers' harvests? :D

Post note
: Began my jogging regime last night.

The Birthday Gift.

Description: I forgot to blog about this, but a few weeks ago, I was walking home from the MRT Station back home from my bday celebration, I took a shortcut across the pond park. It was unsurprisingly peaceful and quiet for a Wednesday night, in fact it was so quiet then if I dropped a pin, I might be able to hear it clank against the stone path. I was walking past these palm trees (as seen in the photo), when suddenly they started to sway violently for a second. I turned to see what was going on but couldn't see much due to reduced visibility in the dark. And then it stopped as suddenly as it had begun. I sensed something was wrong, so I continued walking away from the area. As soon as I took another step, the flutter of the leaves continued. It grew louder and louder as I walked away from the area and soon I smelled a very strong fragrance very much associated with the supernatural - the Frangipani. By then, I know who or what the culprit was, so I kept walking, but with all the hairs on my back standing on end.

What happened before this pic was taken: I went to the bank to deposit my US Treasury cheque into DBS. DBS rocks!

What happened after this pic was taken
: I went back home and had lunch.

Post note: Blisters at the side of my feet due to the new slippers. Too tight right? I need to devirginize them.

Project 365

Star-shaped Liewlian.

Description: I think every Singaporean should love eating durians. Those who don't are fools! It is so yummy (contrary to what Maggie says about it having a weird gas smell) and is readily available especially during the liewlian season. In my family, I am the only one amongst the siblings who loves eating them, so whenever Dad brings these palatable gems home, the ones devouring them would be himself, myself and my mom!

What happened before this pic was taken: I was walking around with nothing to do until I saw some durians stacked at the kitchen. Hur hur hur!

What happened after this pic was taken: My breath stinks. Who cares? Everyone should love durians. Durians should be our National fruit.

Post note: I bought Brazilian Praia Beatles Green flip flops and a Le Coq Sportif cap last night. And that was after walking from Suntec City to The Cathay (for the flip flops) and then to Taka (for the cap). My legs need a massage.

A Birthday present from my Sis and her hubby!

Description: A checkered shirt from Fox. Never dared to buy one before because I'm afraid it would make me look Mat-ish. But it turned out that I look good in it (The only thing I don't look good in is probably a dress... Tsk.)!

What happened before this pic was taken: I helped my Sis with her curtains because the poles fell off. And when I did it, she came to me and passed this to me saying "This is your present for your hard work".

What happened after this pic was taken: I tried it on. DUH!

Post note: I set up an OCBC account before learning that they don't accept cheques form the US Treasury. Dumbass!

Project 365

Pwincess-Ranger.

Description: My niece, Alysha Samara, is an aspiring Pwincess. So that's why I got her some Pwincess accessories as a belated birthday gift from Toy'R'Us. The set consists of 3 Pwincess rings,3 Pwincess bangles, 1 heart necklace, 1 pair of pink Pwincess gloves, 1 Pwincess pouch and 1 Pwincess shoulder shrug (learned this word when I randomly googled 'shoulder cover' on google images because I don't know the proper word for it!)

O.M.G. I can't believe I actually took time to go through this accessories set on this blog. Am I crazy?

What happened before this pic was taken: The neverending pesters from her "Uncle, where's Isha's present?" and "I want my present" etc etc etc.

What happened after this pic was taken: She wore it to sleep.

Post note: Last day of work. No more Oyako Don. Moving on! Well, the first step to moving on was to get back my sleep from the sleep debt on the previous day. Slept the night and morning off. Shiokness!

Project 365

The Binding Machine.

Description: I have a love and hate relationship with the binding machine at work. I love to do binding because it doesn't require me to think much and it also gives me a deep sense of satisfaction when I see how binding can really do wonders to a stack of printed papers we call reports. I hate it because personally I feel that I'm not actually the most patient human being on Earth so it gets so annoying when the papers are not inserted properly into the binders and this is mainly because the sharp edges of the binding machine are not aligned properly!

What happened before the pic was taken: Nothing much. I pretty much did printing and binding the whole damn day.

What happened after the pic was taken: I didn't even finish the job because the downloading of materials took so long. I gave up at 530 pm and went home.

Post note: I spent the entire night writing the farewell cards for LSL, TAT and EY. I finally got to sleep at 5 am and woke up two and a half hours later. It's all for a good cause baby.

Project 365

Pressies all wrapped!

Description: Spent the entire evening in front of the TV wrapping them up with brown wrapping paper left over from a previous parcel-wrapping occasion.

What happened before picture was taken: Home-cooked dinner which was really good even when it's just sardines, egg and rice.

What happened after picture was taken: Watched the Ultimatum (Channel 8 9PM show starring Zoe, Fann, Nanxing & Pinghui). Wasn't a fan before but now that the storyline becomes more complicated with twists and turns with the unveiling of the truth, I foresee it will get me glued to the TV every night.

Post note: 2 days before everything ends. I am not sad at all and I wonder why. Perhaps it's because of DLB. Perhaps it's due to FM. Perhaps there was no bond in the first place? Perhaps.

At The Beginning

My Project 365 begins today.

Auntie Anne's Pretzels coated in Cinnamon Sugar.

Description: Pretzel Perfect because it's 99% fat-free, 100% cholesterol free and high in fibre. Taken at Suntec City while Sugar Mummy was on the phone.

What happened before picture was taken: Fat face.

What happened after picture was taken: A great deal of satisfaction buying birthday gifts for my niece and nephew and Sis.

Post note: Activity is included in this blog because I haven't been blogging as frequently as I should. Thought it would also be a good way to chronicle the year with a photo every single day. After all I now have an excellent tool (my W902 camera) to do the job. Stay tuned.

GSS-Inspired

This is a GSS-Inspired entry.

1) I've decided that I could bear the temporary Nokia phone no more and got a new SE phone, courtesy of my Sugar Mummy.

W902 Earth Green, a phone which serves two very important functions - camera and music.

I shall not bore people of its wonderful specs.

2) I've also decided that enough was enough for my old PC speakers which work only when I adjust the wires in weird positions, so I got myself brand new ones. Lo and behold!

Chio beyond words, works beyond expectation!

Was also tempted to buy Micro SD card (4GB) for my Taiwan trip, but decided that the existing 3GB of micro SD cards coupled with another 3GB storage from my thumbdrive would suffice. Right now, I am still thinking if I should bring the normal camera or video camera.

I had an eventful weekend. Nice.

But my legs need a freaking massage.

Be a loser today!

In an exchange of SMS in the morning on the way to work.

ME: Oi, you must take a look at my Restaurant! I revamped it for about an hour and it looks super chio now leh! And you must play FB's Happy Farm. Planting stuff and reapin what I sow from the harvests gimme satisfaction, even when it's not anything near sexual.

CC: Har? I don't even log on to FB now!

ME: You MUST ok. You must be a loser like me. Nothing to do, go play FB. Nowhere to go, go FB. No one to talk to, FB! My motto is: Towards a FBful future! Aja aja. Fighting!

CC: .......... HAHAHAHAHAHA U crazy. Hahahahaa. I already feel like loser OK... Go to FB so often. Haha...

ME: There's nothing wrong with being a loser, CC. There are probably millions of people out there who are -inserts equal or more sign- loserly than you! Instead of shunnin it, embrace it! Embrace the loser lifestyle today.

CC: Hahaha. Khas, did something traumatic happen to U? Haha. Number one to coolness is never say you're a loser? Haha.

ME: Since when were you ever cool? The in thing now is to be a loser. Being a loser is the new pink, baby.

CC: Haha. I'm damn cool lah please. Haha. When was pink ever back in vogue? Haha. U damn funny lah. Fri mood right?

ME: NO you're not cool. Being cool is being a loser. Being a loser is extreme coolness. And the best thing about being a loser? You don't need to pretend to be one. It is a natural instinct for all of us. Even when you try so hard to be cool, you act cool so much you end up bein a loser. And one more good thing is it doesn't take a loser to know another. Everyone else knows how a loser behaves. Won't you be oh so popular being a loser?

CC: ...................................

Writer's post note: In times like this, I wish I have an iPhone where SMSes are arranged like a conversation, in chronological sequence. It is NOT nice to refer to inbox and sent messages folders alternately. Oh yes, colours have been chosen for reasons of patriotism to the organization in question.

Yea right.
